This 9-month program explores the dynamics of human mobility in the twofold context of globalisation and the persistence of nation-state boundaries. It examines how these dynamics translate into ethnic stratification, economic inequality, and cultural diversity in both countries of departure and countries of destination.

The minor Global Migration provides students with fundamental understanding of processes, causes and impacts of migration. It helps students to critically assess public debates and policies on migration and integration, using insights from different theories and disciplines. 

The MSc in Migration Studies is an intensive nine-month graduate taught degree that analyses migration from a global perspective and as an integral part of development and social change.

The DPhil in International Development provides an opportunity for outstanding students to pursue in-depth multi- and interdisciplinary research, guided by leading scholars in the field, into processes of social, political and economic development and change in the global South.
