There has been much research undertaken to explain why migration flows tend to grow once established, but there remains relatively little insight into why they may decline. This study by THEMIS team members at partner institution, Erasmus University Rotterdam, Godfried Engbersen, Erik Snel and Masja van Meeteren examines the declining migration trend from Morocco to the Netherlands.
The study aims to explain this decline by drawing on data from in-depth interviews in Rotterdam and the Rabat and Nador areas in Morocco undertaken as part of the THEMIS project.
