This second Global Migration Futures workshop involved approximately 25 experts and stakeholders from Europe, North America, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania to critically assess four second-generation scenarios, revisit their initial assumptions about the uncertainties of future international migration, and explore the key issues and trends impacting future international migration that deserve greater examination. Stakeholders also engaged in role playing exercises to develop responses to future migration scenarios.

- Compiled and analysed data from the workshop exercises and discussion.
- Wrote a workshop report synthesising the main themes from the discussions and identifying key issues deserving further targeted research.
- Disseminated the report to stakeholders for feedback as well as policy briefings related to workshop discussions.
